The Town of Jackson, through the Jackson/Teton County Affordable Housing Department, is pleased to release a Request for Proposals for a Multifamily Rental Housing Developer to develop 400 West Snow King Avenue.

  • June 3, 2021: Submission Deadline
  • June 15, 2021: Housing Supply Board Consideration, 4pm via zoom 
  • July 20, 2021: Contract Award

Q: Will the Town consider both 4% tax credits and 9% tax credits?  

A: The Town will consider 4% and 9% tax credits. 

Q: Will the Town pay for the cost of the tax credit application?

A: No.

Q: With new zoning, what parking ratio will the Town allow? 

A: All responses must meet the LDR requirements. Parking requirements are 1 space per dwelling unit <500sf and <2 bedrooms; 1.5 spaces for all other dwelling units. 

Q: Is the Town prepared to fill the financial gap on a tax credit application?

A: Yes. 

Q: Was a previous application awarded for this project within the last few years, but for some reason or another their proposal is not moving forward? Why? 

A: The previous development partner for this project failed to submit a complete application to WCDA and the project was therefore not considered for an allocation. 

Q: From this year's RFP, it appears as though a section of the Town's current parking lot (directly west of the project site) would be dedicated to parking for new residential units created. Can you confirm that this is the case? 

A: This is incorrect. Only the project area may be used for this development. 

Q: Affordable Housing Fund: Do you know if the Town of Jackson has an affordable housing fund? 

A: Yes. The Town has an affordable housing fund. The current balance is approximately $1,700,000. Staff anticipates another $1,000,000 allocation to the fund in July 2021.
