[ARCHIVED] Winter Service Update 12/1/2020

icerink

The Teton County/Jackson Parks and Recreation Department has officially switched over to our 7-day week winter operations.  As of Tuesday December 1, 2020, our ice rinks are still under construction.  We are very close and anticipate the Fairgrounds and Owen Bircher being open starting Saturday December 5, 2020.  Check out our website at the following location for updates, hours of operations and reservation information: http://www.tetonparksandrec.org/1355/Ice-Rinks.  You can also sign up for our ice rink updates on Twitter  @TCJPRrinks which is linked to the website as well.  Staff has come up with a plan to open Powderhorn Ice rink as conditions and resources allow.  It will take a little longer to get up and running and will be low on the priority list during large or prolonged snow events.  Keep checking the website for updates.  Although we did see a couple of inches of snow it was not enough to get the PistenBully out for grooming.  We did get the roller/snowmobile out today to Stilson and Game Creek.  Please continue to check the website and/or Twitter feed for the most up to date information: http://www.tetonparksandrec.org/1353/Grooming-Report

Thanks to everyone for doing your part to keep the community safe and your patience as we wait for the winter weather to really set in.
