Jackson Hole Fire/EMS (JHF/EMS) is pleased to announce that longtime career firefighter, paramedic, and Fire Captain Brian Carr has been promoted to Battalion Chief.
In Carr’s new role as Battalion Chief, he will direct and coordinate the daily operations of Jackson Hole Fire/EMS, serving as the senior on-duty Fire Officer for the County on a rotating shift assignment. Battalion Chief Carr will also manage emergency operations, training, and emergency medical services during his shift assignment.
“Brian Carr’s advancement to the rank of Battalion Chief is a significant, well-earned personal achievement and is indictive of the highly successful Jackson Hole Fire/EMS volunteer/career combination model that has served Teton County for over 25 years,” said JHF/EMS Fire Chief Stephen Jellie. “We are very proud of Battalion Chief Carr.”
Battalion Chief Brian Carr started his career with JHF/EMS in 2008 and worked as a line firefighter and paramedic until he was promoted to an operational Fire Captain in 2015. Carr served as a Fire Captain at Fire Station 1 in downtown Jackson until his promotion to Battalion Chief on Sunday, November 19, 2023.
