THE NEXT ELECTION IN TETON COUNTY, WYOMING IS 2026. JANUARY 1ST, 2026 WE WILL START TAKING REQUESTS FOR UOCAVA/ABSENTEE BALLOTS.
UPCOMING ELECTIONS:
You can register to vote during regular office hours from 8am to 5pm. If you are registering to vote between August 4th - August 17th, or October 20st - November 2nd, you must also vote that day. If you are not able to come into the office, please visit the Voter Registration Information page or call 307-733-4430 for more information on how to register through the mail.
General - Tuesday, November 3, 2026
ABSENTEE VOTING BEGINS - Tuesday October 5, 2026 in the County Administration Building (200 S. Willow) from 8am-5pm
Voter Registration is closed October 20th - November 2nd, 2026. You may still register at the absentee polling place during this timeframe, but you must vote that day. You can also register to vote and cast a ballot at the polling sites on election day, November 3, 2026.
Primary - Tuesday, August 18, 2026
Deadline to declare/change party affiliation - May 19th, 2026
New voter registrations may still declare a party affiliation when registering after this deadline. (W.S. 22-5-214)

Effective July 1, 2021, Wyoming voters will be required to show an acceptable form of identification when voting in person. There are many ID options for you to use to prove your identity. Any of the following documents will be accepted:
WY Driver's License or ID Card
Tribal ID Card
Valid U.S. Passport
U.S. Military Card
Valid Wyoming Concealed Firearm Permit
DL or ID Card from Another State
University of Wyoming Student ID
Wyoming Community College Student ID
Wyoming Public School Student ID
Valid Medicare Insurance Card*
Valid Medicaid Insurance Card*
If you do not have one of the documents in the list above, you may obtain a free Wyoming Identification Card from your local Driver Services office.
Voters who mail in the absentee ballot are not required to provide any additional form of identification.
*Medicare and Medicaid insurance cards will no longer be an acceptable form of identification for voting purposes after December 31st, 2029.
