Nursing & Clinical Services

Public Health Nursing (PHN) provides client-centered quality care and services at the individual, family and community level in a culturally competent manner. Services include:

  • Communicable Disease Program
  • Immunization and Laboratory Services
  • Maternal and Child Health Programs
  • Reproductive Health Services

Communicable Disease Program

Confidential HIV and STD testing and counseling, tuberculosis screening, case management, and outreach, as well as investigation of potential disease outbreaks.

Immunizations

Adult Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, tetanus and pneumococcal vaccines are offered. Vaccines for children who qualify. Meningococcal vaccines for college students. Special seasonal clinics provide on-site immunizations for flu. See our fee schedule for a complete list of available vaccines.

Maternal & Child Health Programs

Healthy Baby Home Visiting Program provides education and support for pregnant and parenting families, as well as breastfeeding counseling for new mothers. Best Beginnings offers services to assure healthy babies through education, support, and access to prenatal care. Children`s Special Health Services coordinates financial assistance and support for children with special needs. Other services include medication administration training, childcare health consultation, and lead screening, among others.

Women's Health & Birth Control

Public Health Nursing is now offering women's health care and birth control options. Our women's health clinics will be every Tuesday afternoon beginning July 22nd. Please call our office for more information or to schedule an appointment.
