About the Training Division

Responsibilities


The Training Division is responsible for:

  • EMR, EMT, EMT-I and Paramedic Certifications
  • Firefighter, Apparatus Driver Operator and Fire Officer Certifications
  • Commercial Driver License Certification
  • Wildland Fire Certification
  • Specialty Certifications: HazMat Technician, Swiftwater Rescue Technician, Rope Rescue Certification
  • Maintains records on all certifications, training records, and physical fitness records
  • Training facility oversight
  • Training program development

Mission Statement

Jackson Hole Fire/EMS training division will focus on timely and effective delivery of training to all members to ensure professionalism and safety in support of the organizational Mission Statement. The training program will consist of the following:

  • Continuing education focused on High-risk, Low-frequency events
  • Initial certification and qualification training
  • Officer Development
  • Specialization/Career Paths
