Medicaid & Wyoming Kid Care (CHIP) Insurance Program

Wyoming Kid Care

Wyoming Kid Care (CHIP) is a Wyoming health insurance program for children under age 19 whose families do not have health insurance but earn too much money to receive Medicaid for Children. To qualify for Wyoming Kid Care you cannot have had insurance for the child during the past month unless the insurance was canceled involuntarily.

Medicaid

Medicaid for Children is an existing health insurance program for children who meet age and income requirements. It is not connected with any other public program. You may have other insurance for your children and they will still be eligible for Medicaid. When you apply for Wyoming Kid Care, eligibility for Medicaid for Children will also be determined. This will enable your child to begin having medical insurance coverage without delay.

Eligibility requirements:

  • Income - the amount of income for each program depends on the number of members in the family and the age of the child.
  • Residency - you must be a U.S. citizen and intend to reside in Wyoming.

Medicaid also has health insurance programs for adults and women who are expecting. Please call the number below for more information.
