Wyoming Kid Care (CHIP) is a Wyoming health insurance program for children under age 19 whose families do not have health insurance but earn too much money to receive Medicaid for Children. To qualify for Wyoming Kid Care you cannot have had insurance for the child during the past month unless the insurance was canceled involuntarily.
Medicaid for Children is an existing health insurance program for children who meet age and income requirements. It is not connected with any other public program. You may have other insurance for your children and they will still be eligible for Medicaid. When you apply for Wyoming Kid Care, eligibility for Medicaid for Children will also be determined. This will enable your child to begin having medical insurance coverage without delay.
Eligibility requirements:
Medicaid also has health insurance programs for adults and women who are expecting. Please call the number below for more information.
You can apply for Wyoming Kid Care (CHIP) or Medicaid by calling 855-294-2127 or go to the Wyoming Eligibility System website for an online application.
