Integrated Solid Waste and Recycling (ISWR) works in partnership with local organizations, encouraging residents to first consider donating gently used items to local libraries, schools, thrift stores and resale/reuse organizations. This benefits local reuse efforts and increases the efficiency with which these items are redistributed.
When local donation sites are at capacity, ISWR collects the overflow hardback and paperback books for recycling. Hardback books should be brought to bins at the Recycling Center. Paperback books can be recycled at the Recycling Center and in community recycling bins along with phone books.
